I'm getting a dual-Master's in archives management and history, and have done everything from processing nineteenth-century correspondence to managing clinical trial records to digitizing newspaper clippings. Right now I'm really interested in the idea of the activist historian - how does a political or social agenda change historical research? How do archivists and historians highlight and incorporate marginalized or disenfranchised voices into the historical narrative? I'm trying to work out some answers to these questions, and find myself in two related but rather different fields.
