I am accomponying my wife to this THATCamp. In order to assuage her worries over leaving the cats behind, I linked up three webcams to a Raspberry Pi so she can check in on the cats via her smartphone. The cameras will also snap a photo and upload the image to Dropbox if the camera detects movement.
